This original Wehrmacht Signalman’s backpack is a rare and increasingly hard-to-find piece, used by signal units in the field during WWII. It features a sturdy, rigid body with a large inner compartment made of cloth. The exterior is crafted and showing wear and some discoloration due to field use. The body is mostly lined in brown pony fur, which still remains largely intact. There are also a few small tears in the inner cloth and some age-related discoloration, reflecting its history in service. A unique and significant find for collectors of WWII signal corps gear.
